About Us
The award-winning Northern Opera Group present rare and wonderful operas in imaginative ways. Described in 2021 as “thriving” (The Guardian), “energetic and imaginative” (Bachtrack), and “wonderfully imaginative” (Review’s Hub), we stage the annual Leeds Opera Festival as well as community operas and other productions across the year. Our work aims to provide audiences with entertaining performances of works they are unlikely to see anywhere else, and provide regular opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to engage with opera. We produce the annual Leeds Opera Festival every August, alongside productions, community work and heritage activity across the year.
